Writing About Us Pages

Collect these inputs before writing (ask only if truly missing; otherwise use neutral wording):

Brand Name: [BRAND NAME]
Primary Keyword: [PRIMARY KEYWORD]
Secondary Keywords: [KEYWORD 1], [KEYWORD 2], [KEYWORD 3], [KEYWORD 4]
Industry/Niche: [INDUSTRY]
Target Audience: [TARGET AUDIENCE]
Location/Service Area: [LOCATION, if applicable]
Brand Description: [SHORT DESCRIPTION]

Then produce the full page using the structure below, plus SEO metadata at the end.

Recommendation
Add an example showing a fully completed page (not just excerpts) for at least one scenario to demonstrate full output quality

Progress:

  • Step 1: Parse inputs, note any gaps — plan to use neutral, non-invented language for gaps
  • Step 2: Map keywords to sections where they fit naturally (don't force all keywords into one paragraph)
  • Step 3: Draft H1 + introduction (primary keyword + brand name appear here)
  • Step 4: Draft each H2 section per the structure, using secondary keywords sparingly across sections, not clustered
  • Step 5: Write "Why Choose" and "Our Values" as short lists with one-line explanations each
  • Step 6: Write closing CTA section
  • Step 7: Write meta title (≤60 chars), meta description (≤155 chars), URL slug, and short standalone CTA
  • Step 8: Self-review against Common Pitfalls before finalizing

Required Structure

  1. H1: About [BRAND NAME] — intro that states who they are and what they offer, primary keyword included naturally
  2. H2: Who We Are — background, identity, expertise
  3. H2: What We Do — products/services and problems solved
  4. H2: Our Mission
  5. H2: Our Vision
  6. H2: Why Choose [BRAND NAME]? — 4-6 genuine, specific reasons
  7. H2: Our Commitment — quality, transparency, service, etc.
  8. H2: Our Values — 4-6 values, each with 1-2 sentence explanation
  9. H2: Serving [LOCATION/AUDIENCE] — only if provided
  10. H2: Get to Know [BRAND NAME] — warm closing + CTA

Output Package

Always deliver, in this order:

  1. Full page content (H1/H2 markdown)
  2. SEO meta title
  3. Meta description
  4. Suggested URL slug
  5. Standalone CTA line (separate from the one embedded in the page)
Recommendation
Include a brief edge case for keyword conflicts (e.g., primary keyword overlaps with brand name) to show handling

Example 1:

Input:

Brand Name: Willow & Oak Home Goods
Primary Keyword: sustainable home decor
Secondary Keywords: eco-friendly furniture, handmade home accents, ethical home brands, natural materials decor
Industry: Home goods/decor e-commerce
Target Audience: Environmentally conscious homeowners aged 28-50
Location: Ships across the United States
Brand Description: Small design studio sourcing handmade, sustainably produced furniture and decor from independent artisans.

Output (excerpt):

# About Willow & Oak Home Goods

Willow & Oak Home Goods started with a simple idea: your home should feel good to
live in, and good about how it was made. We curate sustainable home decor and
handmade pieces from independent artisans who care as much about craftsmanship
as we do about the planet...
Recommendation
Consider a short note on tone adaptation across industries (e.g., legal vs. lifestyle) since voice should differ

We're a small design studio, not a warehouse operation. Every piece in our collection is chosen because we'd want it in our own homes...

We source eco-friendly furniture, natural materials decor, and handmade home accents directly from independent makers, then bring them to your door...

Meta Title: Willow & Oak Home Goods | Sustainable Home Decor, Handmade Meta Description: Discover Willow & Oak Home Goods — sustainable home decor and eco-friendly furniture handmade by independent artisans. Shipping across the US. URL Slug: /about-us CTA: Explore our handmade collection and bring sustainable style into your home today.

**Example 2:**

Input: Minimal info provided — only Brand Name "Cedar Ridge Law" and Primary Keyword "family law attorney," no mission/values details given.

Output approach: Write the page using general, honest language for missing sections (e.g., "Our team approaches every case with care and attention" instead of inventing a specific mission statement or fake years of experience). Flag in a short note to the user: "Mission, Vision, and specific credentials were not provided — I used neutral, general language. Replace with your specifics for a stronger page."
  • Front-load the primary keyword in the H1 or first two sentences — never force it into every paragraph
  • Distribute secondary keywords one-per-section max; skip a keyword entirely if it doesn't fit naturally anywhere
  • Write in active voice, short paragraphs (2-4 sentences), and vary sentence length like a human would
  • Make "Why Choose" reasons specific to the brand inputs given, not generic ("great customer service") unless nothing else is available
  • Use the brand name 6-10 times across the full page — in H1, 2-3 H2 areas, and the closing — not in every paragraph
  • When location is given, weave it into "What We Do" or a dedicated "Serving [Location]" section, not just a keyword drop
  • If brand description is thin, keep tone confident but modest — don't compensate with invented specifics
  • Do NOT invent statistics, years in business, customer counts, awards, or certifications not provided in input
  • Do NOT keyword-stuff — no sentence should contain more than one target keyword
  • Do NOT repeat the exact primary keyword phrase more than 3-4 times across the entire page
  • Do NOT use generic AI filler phrases ("In today's fast-paced world," "We are passionate about excellence," "At the end of the day")
  • Do NOT create a visible "Keywords" section or unnatural keyword list
  • Do NOT overuse bold text or exclamation points
  • Do NOT skip the meta title/description/slug/CTA deliverables — they're part of every output
  • Do NOT fabricate a location or target audience section if none was given — omit that H2 instead
